dc.description.abstract[EN] Bullying has traditionally been understood through the relationship between an aggressor and a victim, however, the current investigation directs its efforts towards the bystander, as he is present in most of the bullying episodes and, through his modus operandi, he has a influence his behaviour, among them, perceiving low severity in bullying and adherence to beliefs related to moral disengagement are consistently associated with behaviours that are favourable to aggression. Both factors tend to appear, to a greater extent, in men. Based on this literature review, we propose a decisive influence on this phenomenon. The latest findings confirm the existence of multiple factors that may quasi-experimental study to investigate the prevalence of these beliefs and perceptions, with a sample of 115 children, 61 women (53%) and 54 men (47%), aged between 13 and 15 years old (M = 13.82; DE = 0.52). A battery of tests of the UPF-4 scale was applied to assess behaviour, strategies and perceived severity of bullying, the CBM-Scale, which aims to measure cyber-mites, and an ad hoc checklist of conducts, in order to evaluate myths present in traditional bullying. The results revealed a moderate adherence to myths, with a broad variation depending on the type of belief. Regarding perceived severity, physical bullying is perceived as the most serious, while relational was most tolerated according to the participants. In both factors, gender differences are confirmed in literature. In addition, there are some findings of interest regarding the prevalence of beliefs and perceptions, where, among other contributions, the important influence of social networks on adolescents is perceived. Finally, considering the limitations of the study, some implications for the transfer of knowledge and intervention are discussed.
