The principal aim of this work was to analyze the treatment and evolution of the psychomotor skills in the childhood education from the General Education Law of 1970 (LGE) to the Organic Law for the improvement of the educational quality (LOMCE) of 2013. A qualitative methodology is used, and the personal interview was the instrument for data collection. Four teachers of early childhood education participated in the research, two with an average age of 60 years and more than 30 years of service and two younger, 25 years of average age and 2 years of service. The results show us an appreciable evolution of psychomotricity and a positive change in its treatment in the educational system with the passage of time and the new educational laws, highlighting the lack of teacher training in the psychomotricity area of early childhood education. It would be appropriate that the methodological innovations in early childhood education were contemplating movement as a fundamental part of the educational process and a teacher training plan in this area, in the studies of the teacher's degree in early childhood education as of permanent training of the teachers
